Morocco’s
Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, in collaboration with
the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, has signed four partnership
agreements aimed at strengthening the use of the Amazigh language across public
administration.
The
agreements were signed during an official ceremony held at the Mohammed V
Theater, as part of activities commemorating the Amazigh New Year 2976.
Minister Delegate in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform,
Amal El Falah Seghrouchini, signed the accords with the Ministry of Energy
Transition and Sustainable Development, represented by its Energy Transition
sector, the Ministry of Transport and Logistics, the Ministry of Investment,
Convergence and Evaluation of Public Policies, and the National Commission for
Integrity and the Prevention and Combating of Bribery.

The
partnerships are designed to activate the official status of the Amazigh
language within public institutions by improving reception and orientation
services for citizens. They also provide for the integration of Amazigh into
call centres, signage, notices, websites, and electronic and social media
platforms used by public administrations.
The
initiative reflects the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative
Reform’s role in leading structured efforts to embed the official use of the
Amazigh language within public services. These efforts are positioned as a key
driver of administrative modernisation and improved quality of communication
between public institutions and service users.
The
agreements align with Morocco’s Royal Directives and the objectives of the
government programme, reinforcing the commitment to inclusive public service
delivery, cultural recognition, and the use of digital tools to enhance
accessibility and citizen engagement.
