Morocco
has taken a major step in advancing its national artificial intelligence agenda
with the hosting of the “AI Made in Morocco” national event in Rabat, chaired
by Mrs. Amal El Falah Seghroucheni, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister in
charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform.
The
event was organized within the framework of implementing the outcomes of the
National Debate on Artificial Intelligence and brought together public
institutions, research bodies, and national and international partners to align
efforts around the country’s AI ambitions.

During
the meeting, authorities officially announced the launch of the Jazari Root
Institute, which will serve as the founding nucleus of the Jazari Institutes.
The initiative is designed as a structured network of centres of excellence
aimed at positioning artificial intelligence as a strategic lever for Morocco’s
national development, particularly in areas of research, innovation, and
digital transformation.
The
event also featured the signing of several agreements and strategic
partnerships between the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative
Reform and a range of national and international ministries and institutions.
These
partnerships are intended to strengthen coordination frameworks, support the
implementation of the “Maroc IA 2030” initiative, and accelerate progress
toward Morocco’s objectives in artificial intelligence, research, and digital
development.
