The
outgoing Chief Executive Officer of Orange Sierra Leone, Mr. Sekou Amadou Bah,
has paid a farewell courtesy call on President Dr. Julius Maada Bio, marking
the conclusion of his four-year tenure and the transition to new leadership at
the telecommunications company.
During
the meeting, Mr. Bah expressed appreciation to the Government of Sierra Leone
for the strong partnership and support extended to Orange Sierra Leone
throughout his tenure. He highlighted key milestones achieved under his
leadership, particularly in the areas of digital inclusion, education,
healthcare delivery and the expansion of telecommunications infrastructure
across the country.
As
part of the visit, Mr. Bah formally introduced Madam Aïcha Touré as the new
Chief Executive Officer of Orange Sierra Leone. He described her as a seasoned
leader who is well positioned to build on the company’s achievements and
further strengthen its contribution to national development.
President
Bio commended Mr. Bah for his service and leadership, acknowledging the role
Orange Sierra Leone has played in advancing connectivity and digital
transformation. He welcomed Madam Touré to her new role and reaffirmed the
government’s commitment to continued collaboration with Orange Sierra Leone in
support of the country’s development agenda.
