MTN
Côte d’Ivoire has reinforced its commitment to digital education by handing
over three fully equipped multimedia classrooms to public secondary schools
under its strategic partnership with the Ministry of National Education and
Literacy.
The
handover ceremonies of these multimedia classroom blocks which were held on
different dates are equipped with 25 high-performance computers and high-speed
internet connectivity, providing students with improved access to digital
learning resources.

According
to MTN Côte d’Ivoire, the initiative forms part of its broader efforts to
support the digitalisation of the national education system, promote equal
access to digital tools, and strengthen the digital skills of young people
across the country.
The
telecommunications company said the deployment of the multimedia rooms is
designed to enhance teaching and learning by integrating digital technology
into classrooms, particularly in public schools where access to such resources
remains limited.
MTN
Côte d’Ivoire also announced that the programme will be expanded in 2026, with
plans to deploy five additional multimedia classrooms in other localities
starting in January. The expansion is expected to further extend the reach of
digital education infrastructure and support inclusive skills development
nationwide.

The
initiative reflects ongoing public-private collaboration between MTN Côte
d’Ivoire and government institutions aimed at preparing young Ivorians for a
technology-driven economy and ensuring that digital transformation in education
leaves no learner behind.
