Mauritius
Telecom has hosted a high-level discussion on autonomous networks as part of
its TGIF Talks series, welcoming the Chief Technology Officer of TM Forum,
George Glass, the President of Huawei NCE Data Communication Domain, Wang Hui,
and the Managing Director of Huawei Mauritius, Kevin Wen Kai.

The
session focused on the role of autonomous networks in shaping the future of the
telecommunications industry. During the exchange, George Glass highlighted how
increasing levels of network autonomy can unlock substantial business benefits,
allowing operators to improve cost efficiency while enhancing network
performance, operational agility, and overall customer experience.
Discussions
explored how intelligent, self-managing networks can enable telecom operators
to respond more effectively to the demands of a rapidly evolving digital
environment and support sustainable growth through improved service delivery
and innovation.

The
visit concluded with a tour of Mauritius Telecom’s Tier IV data centre in Rose
Belle, where the delegation received first-hand insight into the robust
infrastructure underpinning the company’s digital transformation and long-term
technological ambitions.
