Togo
has held its first training session on good cyber hygiene practices for staff
of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Arts, as part of ongoing efforts to
strengthen cybersecurity awareness within the public sector.
The
session, which was organized by Cyber Defense Africa in collaboration with the
Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Arts and with the support of the Ministry of
Public Service Efficiency and Digital Transformation forms part of the broader
digitalization programme being implemented across government services.

The
training aimed to build the capacity of department heads, functional managers
and staff to better understand and respond to common digital threats.
Participants were sensitized to best practices in cyber hygiene, with a focus
on safe digital behaviour and the importance of both individual and collective
responsibility in protecting information systems and administrative data.
The
initiative reflects the government’s commitment to embedding cybersecurity
considerations into public sector digital transformation efforts, ensuring that
the modernization of services is accompanied by strengthened resilience against
cyber risks.
