Guinea’s
Minister of Posts, Telecommunications and the Digital Economy, Rose Pola
Pricemou, has chaired the final Cabinet meeting of the ministry for the year
2025, marking the conclusion of what she described as an intense and
structurally significant year for the department.
The
meeting, held on Wednesday, December 31, provided an opportunity to review
activities undertaken during the year, assess progress made across key priority
areas, and acknowledge the commitment of management and staff. In her opening
remarks, the Minister congratulated President Mamadi Doumbouya following the
proclamation of the provisional results of the presidential election, while
commending senior officials for their professionalism, discipline and sense of
responsibility throughout the year.

Reviewing
the ministry’s performance, Pricemou highlighted progress recorded in
international engagement, infrastructure development, governance reforms and
the advancement of the digital economy. She emphasized that the gains achieved
were the result of collective effort, consistency and rigorous implementation
of government policies.
Looking
ahead, the Minister noted that 2026 will be a decisive year for the ministry,
with a strong focus on the execution, implementation and scaling up of major
structural projects designed to accelerate digital transformation and
strengthen the sector’s contribution to national development.

Senior
officials at the meeting expressed appreciation for the Minister’s leadership,
availability and strategic direction, noting their continued commitment to
delivering on the ministry’s mandate. The session concluded in a cordial
atmosphere, with participants exchanging best wishes for good health, success
and renewed commitment in the year 2026.
