The
Eswatini Communications Commission (ESCCOM) has reinforced its commitment to
digital education by donating 68 ICT devices to the Ministry of Education and
Training (MoET). The donation, which includes 60 desktop computers, four
laptops, and four projectors, was officially handed over by the Minister of
ICT, Senator Savannah Maziya.

The
devices are set to be deployed at the National Curriculum Centre (NCC) to
support the production of high-quality digital content, enhance logistical
support for schools, and strengthen the national rollout of the Learning
Passport initiative.
ESCCOM’s
initiative was carried out in partnership with the Ministry of ICT, MoET, and
UNICEF, reflecting a multi-stakeholder approach to preparing Eswatini for the
digital economy. The Minister of Education and Training emphasized that the
investment demonstrates the government’s ongoing commitment to equipping
students and educators with the tools needed for digital learning.
