Microsoft
and EgyptAir have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to deepen their
strategic partnership and accelerate the national carrier’s digital
transformation in an increasingly AI-enabled aviation landscape. The agreement
marks a new phase of collaboration focused on enhancing EgyptAir’s digital
experience, operational efficiency and innovation capabilities.
The
MoU was signed in the presence of the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of
EgyptAir Holding Company, Capt. Ahmed Adel. It was formally executed by the
General Manager of Microsoft Egypt, Mohamed Kassem, and EgyptAir’s Vice
President of Technology, Yasser Omran.

The
partnership builds on ongoing cooperation between the two organisations and is
aimed at leveraging advanced digital technologies, including artificial
intelligence, to support EgyptAir’s transformation agenda. The initiative is
expected to contribute to improved customer experiences, smarter operations and
stronger digital resilience across the airline’s systems.
Capt.
Ahmed Adel outlined a forward-looking vision for EgyptAir, underscoring the
airline’s commitment to innovation, service excellence and global
competitiveness. He noted that strategic technology partnerships are central to
positioning EgyptAir as a modern, digitally driven aviation leader.

Commenting
on the collaboration, Microsoft’s leadership highlighted the significance of
supporting a national flagship carrier with deep cultural and economic
importance. The partnership reflects Microsoft’s broader commitment to working
with regional institutions to drive digital innovation, efficiency and
sustainable growth.
The
MoU reinforces EgyptAir’s ambition to remain a trusted global airline while
embracing emerging technologies that will shape the future of aviation in Egypt
and beyond.
