Gov’athon
2025 has concluded in Senegal, marking a significant moment for public
innovation and citizen-driven solutions aimed at transforming public
administration and strengthening state effectiveness. The initiative brought
together public institutions, innovators, and multidisciplinary teams to apply
collective intelligence and creativity to national development challenges.
The
event received strong institutional backing, with the Ministry of
Communication, Telecommunications and Digital Affairs acknowledging the
leadership and support of the Prime Minister in advancing a modern, efficient,
and digitally oriented public administration. The Ministry also commended the
Minister of Civil Service, Labour and Civil Service Reform, Olivier Boucal, for
effective inter-ministerial collaboration that demonstrated the impact of
coordinated and results-oriented public action.

AgriDataGov
emerged as the winner of Gov’athon 2025, following a competitive final that
showcased innovative approaches to public sector challenges. A total of 21
teams participated in the programme, presenting solutions that reflected a
strong sense of public service, creativity, and technical capacity within
Senegal’s growing innovation ecosystem.
The
Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to fostering an enabling environment for
public innovation and technological entrepreneurship through the national
Startup Ecosystem, supported by the Economic Community for Digital Affairs
(ECAC). Gov’athon 2025 forms part of a broader continuum designed to support
the emergence of innovative solutions that can evolve into state startups or
administration-led projects.

Selected
initiatives are expected to benefit from institutional support, technical
assistance, and capacity building, including incubation, regulatory and fiscal
incentives, access to public procurement opportunities, and tailored financing
mechanisms. These measures aim to ensure the scalability and long-term impact
of innovative solutions in support of public policies and improved service
delivery to citizens.
