The
Director General of the Autorité de Régulation des TIC (ARTCI), Lakoun Quattara
has participated in a high-level meeting of the United Nations General Assembly
dedicated to the WSIS+20 stocktaking process, reinforcing Côte d’Ivoire’s
engagement in global digital governance discussions.

On
the margins of the meeting, the ARTCI Director General held strategic exchanges
with experts from Microsoft on emerging technologies, including quantum
computing. Additional engagements included discussions with the
Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Ms.
Doreen Bogdan-Martin, as well as Mr. Tiemoko Moriko, Ambassador and Permanent
Representative of Côte d’Ivoire to the United Nations.
The
participation formed part of broader efforts to strengthen Côte d’Ivoire’s
positioning within international digital policy, innovation, and governance
frameworks. The WSIS+20 stocktaking provides a global platform for reviewing
progress made in implementing the World Summit on the Information Society
outcomes and identifying future priorities in the digital transformation
agenda.

ARTCI’s
involvement underscores the country’s commitment to engaging with global
partners, contributing to international policy dialogue, and advancing
innovation-driven and inclusive digital development at the national and
international levels.
