The
Cyber Security Authority (CSA) has held discussions with a delegation from the
Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS) West Africa Affiliate as part of efforts to
deepen collaboration and expand initiatives aimed at increasing women’s
participation in the cybersecurity sector.

The
delegation was led by the President of WiCyS West Africa, Ms. Olayinka Naa
Dzama Wilson-Kofi. The engagement focused on reviewing ongoing collaboration
between the two institutions, strengthening organisational growth, and
identifying future partnership opportunities to support capacity building and
inclusion within the cybersecurity ecosystem.
Speaking
during the meeting, the Acting Director-General of the CSA, Mr. Divine Selase
Agbeti, reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to supporting WiCyS initiatives
in the year ahead. He underscored the importance of positioning WiCyS as a
visible role model for young girls interested in pursuing careers in
cybersecurity and related digital fields.

Mr.
Agbeti further highlighted the need for enhanced media advocacy to amplify the
work and impact of WiCyS West Africa, noting that increased visibility would
contribute to inspiring more women and girls to enter the cybersecurity
profession and strengthen the region’s overall cyber resilience.
