The
Ministry of Information, Communication and Technology in Eswatini has been
ranked the top-performing government ministry in the Public Accounts Committee
assessment for the 2023/24 financial year.
The
ministry earned a five-star rating in the latest PAC report, which cited strong
financial controls, effective internal systems, compliance with regulatory
requirements, and timely responses to audit queries as key factors behind the
ranking.
According
to the report, the performance reflects a high level of accountability and
efficiency in the management of public resources. The assessment also
acknowledged the ministry’s commitment to sound governance practices and
adherence to established financial and administrative procedures.
The
recognition underscores the role of the Ministry of ICT in advancing Eswatini’s
digital transformation agenda, as well as the dedication of its leadership and
staff in delivering quality public services.
