Sudan’s telecom regulator, the National Communications Authority (NCA) has concluded
the first day of stakeholder consultative awareness on the Cybersecurity and
Computer Misuse Bill 2025. The engagement brought together members of the
Transitional National Legislative Assembly’s Standing Committee on ICT &
Public Service, security agencies, telecom representatives, and law enforcement
officials.

Following
the recent passage of the bill by Parliament, the session aimed to build a
shared understanding of its provisions, ensuring clarity, balance, and
readiness for effective implementation once it becomes law. The consultations
focused on identifying potential errors or gaps in the bill, providing an
opportunity for corrections and clarifications to prevent future misuse.
The
initiative addresses growing concerns over online fraud, digital harassment,
and the misuse of digital platforms, establishing a robust legal framework to
protect citizens’ rights while enhancing the security of Ghana’s digital
environment.
