The
Technology Innovation Agency (TIA) and the Insurance Sector Education and
Training Authority (Inseta) have signed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding
aimed at strengthening skills development, innovation, and capacity-building
within the insurance sector and related industries.

The
partnership focuses on key pillars, including innovation and technology
development, entrepreneurship, support for small, medium, and micro enterprises
(SMMEs), market access, and the establishment of Insure Digital Hubs. Over the
next five years, the collaboration aims to develop a skilled, future-ready
workforce aligned with evolving industry needs, support startups and
entrepreneurs with innovation and commercialization initiatives, and enhance
research, technology transfer, and applied innovation across universities,
technical and vocational education and training (TVET) colleges, and private
sector actors.

The
MoU also emphasizes promoting inclusivity, diversity, and a culture of
innovation in the insurance sector through joint campaigns and dedicated
platforms. The agreement reflects a maturing ecosystem where government
entities collaborate to deliver greater impact for industry transformation.
