Ghana
will host the National Online Safety Summit (NOSS) 2026 from 3–4 February 2026
in Accra, as stakeholders intensify efforts to address the growing risks facing
children in the digital space.
The
announcement was made by Emmanuel Adinkra, President and Founder of the Ghana
Internet Safety Foundation, who noted that the summit comes at a critical time
as Ghana’s digital adoption continues to expand. The event will bring together
key partners from government, industry, civil society, and the technology
ecosystem to deliberate on practical measures to protect children from online
exploitation and emerging digital harms.
The
summit is expected to provide a national platform for dialogue on child online
protection, focusing on awareness, prevention, and coordinated responses to
risks associated with increased internet access and digital engagement.
Discussions will also explore policy, education, and technology-driven
solutions aimed at creating safer online environments for children and young
people.
Organisers
say NOSS 2026 will contribute to strengthening national efforts on digital
safety and reinforce the shared responsibility of stakeholders in safeguarding
children as Ghana advances toward a more digitally connected society.
