The
U.S. Department of State has commemorated the fifth anniversary of the Artemis
Accords during an event hosted by Meridian International Center and Redwire
Space. Launched in 2020 by the United States and seven other countries, the
Accords have expanded to include 59 signatory nations, reflecting widespread
international support for responsible space exploration.

The
celebration highlighted the diplomatic efforts of the State Department and NASA
in promoting cooperation, transparency, and sustainability in space activities.
Officials noted that the Artemis Accords will continue to foster innovation
within the U.S. commercial space sector while guiding principles for the
peaceful and responsible use of outer space globally.
