CAMTEL
recently hosted the National Director of the Bank of Central African States
(BEAC), Mr. Pierre Emmanuel Nkoa Ayissi, and his delegation during an official
visit to the company’s Data Center, underscoring growing institutional interest
in Cameroon’s national digital infrastructure.

The
delegation was received by CAMTEL’s General Manager, Mrs. Judith Yah Sunday
epse Achidi, alongside members of the company’s management and technical teams.
During the visit, guests were taken through the core infrastructure of the Data
Center, where CAMTEL engineers presented the facility’s security systems,
energy installations, operational resilience, and service offerings.
The
presentations highlighted the reliability, scalability, and maturity of
Cameroon’s national data infrastructure, with particular emphasis on
compliance, business continuity, and the capacity to support mission-critical
digital services.
At
the conclusion of the visit, Mr. Nkoa Ayissi expressed satisfaction with the
quality of the infrastructure and commended CAMTEL for its technical
capabilities. He reaffirmed his confidence that Cameroon possesses the skills
and facilities required to support large-scale digital projects essential to
national development.

The
visit follows a series of recent workshops organized by CAMTEL focusing on data
centers and sovereign cloud solutions. During those engagements, several senior
BEAC officials expressed strong interest in gaining deeper insight into the
country’s digital infrastructure, leading to the official tour of the Data
Center.
