Visa
has launched its 2026 Visa Connect series with an inaugural event in Tunisia,
bringing together nearly 250 clients, partners and Visa colleagues from across
North Africa and beyond to discuss the future of payments and commerce.
The
event, branded Visa Connect Tunisia, was held under the theme “Connected
Futures,” highlighting how innovation can drive meaningful impact across
financial ecosystems. Discussions and demonstrations focused on emerging
technologies shaping the payments landscape, including artificial
intelligence-powered personalisation and the growing role of agentic commerce.

Speaking
at the event, Leila Serhan, General Manager for North Africa, the Levant and
Pakistan at Visa, said the gathering provided a strong platform for
collaboration and co-creation, enabling stakeholders to explore how advanced
payment solutions can support smarter, more inclusive and resilient financial
systems across the region.
Visa
used the forum to showcase how its technologies and partnerships are supporting
the evolution of digital payments, enhancing customer experiences and enabling
businesses to operate more efficiently in an increasingly connected economy.

The
Tunisia event marks the beginning of a broader series of Visa Connect
engagements scheduled to take place across the region over the coming months,
as Visa continues to engage clients and partners on innovation, collaboration
and the future of commerce.
