Ericsson
has participated in Econet’s E-novate Expo 2025 in Harare, engaging
stakeholders on how advanced connectivity technologies can support Zimbabwe’s
digital transformation agenda.

The
three-day event served as a platform to discuss the role of emerging
technologies such as artificial intelligence, 5G, virtual reality and the
Internet of Things in shaping the country’s digital future. Working alongside
Econet, Ericsson highlighted the potential of 5G and a 5G Standalone Core to
enable AI-driven services, IoT applications, cloud solutions and enterprise use
cases.
During
the expo, Ericsson demonstrated its Mission Critical Networks and Virtual
Reality technologies, providing practical examples of how robust and resilient
network infrastructure can unlock new capabilities across sectors. The company
also participated in a panel discussion on scaling emerging technologies, where
it emphasised the importance of reliable and secure networks in supporting
innovation at national scale.

Ericsson
said the engagement reaffirmed its commitment to partnering with local
stakeholders to advance Zimbabwe’s digital ambitions and strengthen the
country’s connectivity ecosystem.
