Orange
Côte d’Ivoire has officially launched the Orange Money Visa virtual card, a new
digital payment solution introduced in partnership with Visa to broaden access
to electronic payments across the country.

The
virtual card is designed to be simple, accessible and inclusive, enabling
Ivorians to participate more fully in the digital economy. The service targets
a wide range of users, including pupils, students, entrepreneurs, developers,
and players within the digital ecosystem, as well as Orange Money’s more than
20 million customers in Côte d’Ivoire.
Speaking
at the launch, Orange Côte d’Ivoire Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief
Operating Officer, Mamadou Coulibaly, said the initiative reflects the
company’s commitment to providing practical digital tools that respond to
everyday needs. He noted that the Orange Money Visa virtual card offers users a
secure means of accessing global digital payment platforms.

Mr.
Coulibaly commended the teams at Orange Money Côte d’Ivoire, Orange Bank
Africa, Orange Money Group and partner Visa for their collaboration in
delivering the product. He described the launch as the first in a series of
major innovations planned to support digital financial services in the country.
Orange
has been active in Côte d’Ivoire’s digital transformation since 2008,
positioning Orange Money as a key platform for financial inclusion and digital
innovation. The introduction of the virtual card is expected to further
strengthen the adoption of cashless payments and online transactions
nationwide.
