Kenya’s
Office of the Special Envoy for Climate Change has taken another step toward
strengthening international climate cooperation following a meeting with Mr.
Enrico Savio of Leonardo SpA in Nairobi. The discussions focused on advancing
the joint plans for the Climate Leadership Innovation Center (CLIC), an
initiative aimed at enhancing climate resilience through technology,
innovation, and youth-led entrepreneurship.

The
Special Climate Envoy emphasized the importance of the partnership in
fast-tracking the establishment of a modern CLIC, designed to harness
cutting-edge solutions and deepen collaboration between Kenya and Italy. Once
completed, the Center is expected to become a catalytic platform for
innovation, capacity building, and technology-driven climate action.
Officials
noted that the initiative aligns with Kenya’s broader agenda to position itself
as a regional hub for climate innovation and resilient development.
