The
Government of Tanzania has praised Airtel Tanzania for its leadership in
expanding digital connectivity, supporting national revenue, and creating more
than 2,000 jobs across the country.
During
a visit to the company’s headquarters, the Minister for Communication and
Infor
mation Technology, Hon. Angellah Kairuki, reaffirmed the government’s
commitment to strengthening collaboration with the private sector to accelerate
digital inclusion nationwide. She noted that sustained partnership is essential
for improving access to reliable and affordable communication services.
Airtel
Tanzania Managing Director Charles Kamoto expressed appreciation for the
Minister’s visit and reiterated the company’s commitment to providing seamless
connectivity and impactful social programs. He highlighted Airtel’s ongoing
initiatives, including school connectivity projects, digital skills
development, and financial literacy training, all designed to support
communities and drive inclusive growth.

The
visit aligns with broader efforts to enhance Tanzania’s digital ecosystem
through public–private cooperation.
