The National
Information Technology Authority-Uganda (NITA-U) has engaged a senior
delegation from Kenya’s Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital
Economy for a strategic benchmarking engagement focused on Uganda’s National
Backbone Infrastructure (NBI).

The discussions
centred on sharing best practices in infrastructure governance, operational
sustainability, and regional connectivity. Officials said the engagement
reinforced a shared commitment to building a secure and digitally integrated
East Africa.
According to
NITA-U, the collaboration reflects a collective determination to strengthen
regional digital infrastructure and expand opportunities for citizens,
businesses, and governments across the region.
