Ethio
telecom’s top management, led by Chief Executive Officer Frehiwot Tamru, has
concluded a strategic technical tour of CAMTEL’s facilities in Cameroon,
marking a key milestone in the implementation of a newly signed partnership
between the two telecommunications operators.

The
visit, undertaken alongside CAMTEL General Manager Judith Yah Sunday, formed
part of a week-long engagement aimed at translating strategic commitments into
concrete operational collaboration. It followed shortly after the formalization
of the partnership agreement, signaling a swift transition from planning to
execution.
During
the tour, the Ethio telecom and CAMTEL leadership teams visited several
critical infrastructure sites, including CAMTEL’s Network Operations Center,
the Blue Store Warda to observe digital customer experience platforms, and the
Zamengoe Data Center. CAMTEL technical teams provided detailed briefings on
ongoing innovations and operational capabilities across the network.

The
visit concluded with a joint management meeting in which both organizations
aligned on immediate next steps to advance their cooperation, particularly in
areas of technical knowledge exchange and capacity building.
As
part of the visit, Ethio telecom CEO, Frehiwot Tamru also participated in a
live media interview, where she described the partnership as a shared
commitment that goes beyond commercial interests, aimed at supporting
Cameroon’s digital transformation agenda.
