The
African Space Agency has hosted a delegation from the Federation of Indian
Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) on the margins of the GMES and Africa
Phase 2 Continental Forum, as part of efforts to strengthen international
partnerships within Africa’s space ecosystem.

Discussions
between the two sides focused on avenues for future cooperation, including
participation in strategic platforms aimed at advancing space science,
technology, and industry development on the continent. Particular attention was
given to the upcoming NewSpace Africa Conference 2026, scheduled to take place
in Libreville, as a potential platform for deeper engagement and collaboration.
The
engagement forms part of the African Space Agency’s broader strategy to build
mutually beneficial international partnerships that support innovation,
capacity building, and sustainable growth across Africa’s rapidly evolving
space sector.
