OpenAI
has joined the NBA Africa 2025 Triple-Double Accelerator as a strategic
collaborator, partnering with Carnegie Mellon University Africa, ServiceNow,
and ALX Africa to support early-stage African startups in the sports technology
and creative industries.

The
Accelerator, designed to provide financial support, mentorship, and resources,
received over 700 applications from across the continent this year. Ten
finalists were invited to pitch at Demo Day in Kigali, where a judging panel
including Emmanuel Lubanzadio, Cheick Camara, Nikki Van Gasse, and Conrad
Tucker selected five winners.

The
2025 Triple-Double Accelerator winners are Reborn from Morocco; Fitclan and
Athlon Technology from Egypt; and Atsur and Songdis from Nigeria. The program
aims to nurture innovative technology solutions and strengthen Africa’s
entrepreneurial ecosystem in sports and creative sectors.
