The
American Chamber of Commerce in Ghana (AmCham Ghana) has successfully held the
maiden sitting of its ICT and Digital Economy Committee at the Chamber
Secretariat, marking a significant step toward strengthening collaboration and
policy advocacy within Ghana’s rapidly expanding digital ecosystem.

The
meeting was led by AmCham Ghana Chief Executive Officer, Doris Kafui Afanyedey,
and brought together key industry stakeholders and technology partners
operating across the country. Participants included representatives from Google
West Africa, IBM Ghana, Microsoft Ghana, Oracle Ghana, American Tower
Corporation, E-Services Africa Ltd., Apotica, MultiThread ICT Solutions, DevOps
Africa Limited, NCR Corporation, and Trimble Export Ltd.
Officials
from the United States Embassy in Ghana also participated in the session, led
by Senior Counselor Rachel Kreissl, with support from Commercial Officer Laurie
Kelleher, Economic Specialist Jennifer Antwi, and Commercial Specialist
Victoria Agbai. Their presence underscored the shared commitment of the United
States and Ghana to advancing digital development and strengthening cooperation
in the technology sector.

The
inaugural meeting set the foundation for sustained engagement among public and
private sector actors, aimed at shaping policy, promoting innovation, and
driving growth across Ghana’s ICT and digital economy landscape.
