The
Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC) has welcomed Mrs.
Nana Akyaa Amoah-Amissah as its new Acting Deputy Administrator (CEO),
following the reassignment of Honourable Abdul-Aziz Mohammed. The introduction
was made by the Honourable Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and
Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, during a ceremony on December 4, 2025.

In
her new role, Mrs. Amoah-Amissah is expected to collaborate closely with Acting
Administrator Mr. Sofo Tanko Rashid-Computer to advance GIFEC’s mission and
vision, particularly in areas of rural connectivity, digital inclusion, and
economic transformation. Expressing her gratitude, Mrs. Amoah-Amissah
emphasized her commitment to ethical leadership and the responsible application
of technology in serving society.
Mrs.
Amoah-Amissah brings over 20 years of experience in technology, financial
services, and emerging markets. She previously served as Global Director of
Business and Product Equity Partnerships and Programs at Meta, focusing on
inclusive business practices, and held senior roles at Google across Africa,
the UK, and the US.

She
made history in 2020 as the first Black female Director at WhatsApp and was
recognized in 2024 as a top women leader in San Francisco. She holds a BA in
Economics from Tufts University and an MBA with honors from the University of
Oxford.
