Konza
Technopolis has held discussions with Kenya’s Permanent Representative to
UN-Habitat, Ambassador Nakhumicha Wafula, and Deputy Permanent Representative,
Ambassador Beatrice Karago following a visit to the emerging smart city.

The
visit underscored expanding cooperation between Konza Technopolis and
UN-Habitat across several pillars of sustainable urban development, including
green infrastructure, sustainable energy and water systems, capacity building,
governance, climate action, and urban resilience.

Officials
discussed ongoing and future initiatives aimed at advancing Konza as a model
for smart and sustainable cities in Africa. The engagement reaffirmed Konza
Technopolis’ commitment to developing a futuristic, innovation-driven urban hub
designed to promote sustainability, resilience, and inclusive economic growth.
