Secretary for Information, Communications and the Digital Economy, William
Kabogo has expressed confidence that the next wave of transformative and
globally relevant technological solutions will be developed in Kenya, supported
by international partners and driven by a shared vision for a connected and
prosperous future.

Hon.
Kabogo made the remarks while officially opening the Latitude59 Kenya Edition
2025, the third edition of the global technology forum, held in Nairobi. He
highlighted the role of Kenya’s expanding digital infrastructure, strengthened
cybersecurity, and modernized data governance in creating an enabling
environment for innovation.
The
Cabinet Secretary stressed that Kenya’s greatest strength lies in its people,
particularly the young founders, creators, and problem-solvers developing
solutions with global impact. He noted that Latitude59 serves as a bridge
linking ecosystems, capital, talent, and ideas, further strengthening the
Kenya–Estonia partnership and cementing Kenya’s status as Africa’s innovation
hub.

The
event was attended by the EU Ambassador to Kenya, Henriette Geiger, the
Estonian Ambassador, H.E. Daniel Schaer, along with global investors,
innovators, and founders, showcasing Kenya’s growing influence in the
international technology landscape.
