BasiGo
has hosted the Senior Director for ESG, Climate and Sustainability at Africa50
Group, Clémence McNulty during a visit to its operations in Kenya and Rwanda as
part of Africa50’s annual portfolio monitoring exercise.
The
visit focused on evaluating BasiGo’s progress in implementing key
Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives and reviewing plans for
advancing sustainability efforts across the company’s markets. Africa50, an
infrastructure investment platform established by African governments and the
African Development Bank, has been a key partner in supporting BasiGo’s mission
to accelerate electric mobility in Africa.

BasiGo
said the engagement underscores the shared commitment between the two
organisations to establish strong ESG standards in the fast-growing e-mobility
sector. The company noted that while its core mission remains the
electrification of public transport, collaboration with Africa50 is critical in
shaping responsible and sustainable industry practices.
The
company expressed appreciation to McNulty for her time and insights, adding
that the visit further strengthens their joint efforts to drive sustainable
transport solutions across the continent.
