The
Director General of the Sonatel Group and Chairman of the Orange Sierra Leone
Board, Brelotte BA, has concluded a series of high-level engagements in Sierra
Leone as part of his working visit to the country.
Mr.
BA met with the Minister of Communication, Technology and Innovation, Salima
Monormah Bah, and the Director General of the National Telecommunications
Commission (NATCA), Amara Brewah, to discuss strengthening collaboration,
enhancing network infrastructure, and ensuring a regulatory environment that
supports long-term sector growth. The discussions were described as positive
and centred on key investment priorities for Sierra Leone’s digital ecosystem.

He
expressed gratitude to both the Minister and the NATCA leadership for their
continued support to Orange Sierra Leone and reaffirmed the company’s
commitment to contributing to national development through improved
connectivity and innovative digital services.
As
part of the visit, Mr. BA toured the Orange Digital Center and the Freetown
Data Center, two major assets driving the company’s technology and innovation
agenda. He commended staff for their efforts in promoting digital skills,
supporting entrepreneurship, and maintaining robust data infrastructure.

During
the tour, he also witnessed a brief ballet performance by participants at the
Orange Digital Center, showcasing the diverse creative talents cultivated
through the company’s digital empowerment programmes.
Mr.
BA’s visit underscores Sonatel and Orange Sierra Leone’s dedication to
supporting Sierra Leone’s digital transformation and expanding opportunities
for communities across the country.
