Hon.
Sukparu noted that the launch aligns with President John Dramani Mahama’s
vision of accelerating digitalisation to drive a 24-hour economy powered by
technology. He emphasised that the new NIB mobile app is designed to expand
secure, convenient, and inclusive financial services nationwide, ensuring that
citizens can access modern banking tools regardless of location.
Describing
the app as a gateway to financial empowerment, he said it would enable
individuals and businesses to transact efficiently and safely, strengthening
participation in Ghana’s digital economy. He further highlighted that the
initiative supports national strategies aimed at deepening financial inclusion,
promoting cashless transactions, and enhancing the digital ecosystem.

The
Deputy Minister also lauded the introduction of the Ubuntu initiative,
emphasising its role in reinforcing humanity, empathy, and customer-focused
service within digital innovation. He said the combination of advanced
technology and human-centered values is expected to distinguish NIB as a
trusted partner in the country’s economic transformation.
Hon.

full advantage of digital banking tools. He urged NIB to maintain strong
security measures and uphold exceptional customer service as the bank scales
