South Sudan’s National Communication Authority begins leadership handover process

The
National Communication Authority (NCA) of South Sudan has commenced its
official leadership transition, as outgoing Director General Hon. Gieth Kon
Mathiang began handing over key institutional documents to incoming Director
General Hon. Rizig Dominic Samuel at the Authority’s headquarters in Gumbo.
The
handover ceremony was witnessed by Deputy Minister of ICT & Postal Services
Hon. Gen. David Yau Yau, Undersecretary of the Telecom Sector Hon. Thomas
Gatkuoth Nyak, and NCA Director for Technical Services Eng. Papiti Okwaci.
According
to the NCA, the transition marks an important step toward ensuring
institutional stability, operational continuity, and strengthened governance.
The Authority reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, effective regulatory
oversight, and advancing a secure digital future for South Sudan.
