Senior
officials from the Information Network Security Administration (EDDA) has visited
the headquarters of the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute, where they
were briefed on the institute’s ongoing activities and strategic initiatives.

During
the visit, the Institute’s Director General, Dr. Werku Gachena, outlined the
progress made across various projects and highlighted the institute’s expanding
role in advancing the country’s digital capabilities. He emphasized that the
institute is positioned to deliver on its mandate at a high level.
The
Director General of EMEA, Patience Hamid, noted that the institute has created
a conducive environment for its employees and is well-organized to fulfill its
national mission. She underscored the important role of artificial intelligence
in accelerating Ethiopia’s digital transformation agenda.

The
visit provided an opportunity for both institutions to reaffirm their
commitment to deepening cooperation and enhancing coordination as Ethiopia
works toward building a secure and technologically advanced digital ecosystem.
