The
Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC), in collaboration with the African
Regional Centre for Space Science and Technology in French Language (CRASTE-LF)
and the Moroccan Initiative for Space Industry (MISI), has announced the
organization of a Workshop on Space Law and Governance aimed at students and
young professionals.
The
initiative seeks to deepen understanding of international space law and
governance frameworks while promoting responsible and sustainable use of outer
space. As part of SGAC’s broader mission, the workshop reinforces global
efforts to engage the next generation in shaping the future of space
activities.
According
to the organizers, the programme will provide participants with insights into
emerging legal issues in space, international cooperation, and the ethical
responsibilities tied to growing access to space technologies. The partnership
between SGAC, CRASTE-LF and MISI underscores their shared commitment to
building capacity, supporting education, and preparing young leaders to
contribute meaningfully to the global space sector.
The
workshop is also aligned with international efforts to promote peaceful uses of
outer space and ensure that future professionals understand the legal and
governance structures guiding space exploration and development.
