MTN
Nigeria has entered into a strategic partnership with the Small and Medium
Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) aimed at strengthening
support systems and unlocking new opportunities for small and medium-sized
enterprises across the country.

The
agreement was formalised at a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signing
ceremony attended by senior representatives from both organisations, including
MTN Nigeria executives Ayham Moussa, Lynda Saint-Nwafor, Ugonwa Nwoye, Julcit
Onigbogi, Njideka Jack and Omowunmi Olatunbosun, as well as SMEDAN
Director-General Dr. Charles Odii.
At
the core of the partnership is mySMEville, MTN’s digital platform designed to
give SMEs access to funding opportunities, market linkages, capacity-building
resources and essential business tools. The collaboration also paves the way
for additional joint initiatives with SMEDAN and MTN’s MoMo ecosystem to
enhance entrepreneurship and drive sustainable economic development.

Both
organisations described the partnership as a significant step toward creating a
more resilient and competitive SME sector, underscoring their shared commitment
to empowering Nigerian businesses and accelerating inclusive growth.
