The
United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in partnership with the Financial
Services Institute (FSI) Egypt and in collaboration with the GRI, IFRS
Foundation and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), has
conducted a workshop on sustainability frameworks under the EU-led
Sustainability Disclosure and Management Hubs (SDMH) Programme.

The
session followed a series of online webinars and was designed to bridge theory
and practice, providing participants with a deeper understanding of how global
sustainability standards can be applied effectively at the national level.
Egyptian experts and stakeholders shared perspectives on the practical aspects
of sustainability reporting and management, contributing insights into the
local implementation challenges and opportunities.
Participants
examined how various sustainability frameworks intersect and complement one
another, offering a more integrated approach to corporate sustainability. The
workshop also forms part of broader efforts to support Egypt in meeting both
national and international sustainability requirements, aligning with the
objectives of the EU-led Sustainable Finance Advisory Hub.

UNDP
said the collaboration reinforces ongoing work to advance sustainable finance,
enhance reporting practices and strengthen the capacity of institutions across
Egypt’s financial sector.
