South Sudan has held a courtesy meeting with Ateny Wek Ateny, Minister of
Information, Communication, Technology and Postal Services, as part of ongoing
efforts to deepen cooperation with the government and enhance the country’s
telecommunications landscape.
The
delegation, led by MTN South Sudan CEO Mapula Bodibe and accompanied by Chief
Legal, Regulatory and Corporate Affairs Officer Mayor Angong, engaged the
Minister in discussions focused on building stronger institutional
collaboration. The meeting also explored strategic priorities and expectations
for the future, particularly in the context of South Sudan’s evolving economic
environment.
Conversations
included how MTN South Sudan and national regulators can work more closely to
optimise network operations, improve service delivery, and navigate challenges
affecting the sector. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring
reliable, high-quality connectivity across the country.

digital access and telecommunications services for citizens.
