Senior
law enforcement officials and ministers from around the world have gathered at
INTERPOL’s 93rd General Assembly to address current and emerging threats from
organized crime. The four-day conference, held from 24 to 27 November 2025,
brings together more than 800 delegates from 179 countries, including 82 police
chiefs, and sets the global agenda for international law enforcement
cooperation.
Morocco’s
Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, Abdellatif
Hammouchi, highlighted the country’s commitment to hosting the event,
emphasizing the need for multilateral security collaboration to combat
transnational crime. “Because security challenges transcend national borders,
it has become imperative for us to create joint and indivisible security
structures, in which national partners cooperate with INTERPOL and
international stakeholders,” he said.

INTERPOL
President Ahmed Naser Al-Raisi stressed the importance of collective action and
the organization’s strategic roadmap for the next five years. “In Marrakech
this week, we celebrate what we have built together, the beginning of the
future we are building together. Let this General Assembly remind us that
service never ends, and that in every border crossed, every life protected, and
every act of courage, INTERPOL thrives in all of us,” he said.
INTERPOL
Secretary General Valdecy Urquiza noted that the General Assembly is a unique
platform to assess global crime trends and chart a united path forward.
“Cooperation is no longer optional; it’s the only way forward,” he said.
As
part of ongoing efforts to enhance operational support, INTERPOL will launch
two new capabilities: Nexus, a web-based AI messaging platform that delivers
police information more efficiently, and AVA, the first AI virtual assistant
for law enforcement operating within INTERPOL’s protected cloud environment,
providing rapid analysis and actionable intelligence.
Delegates
will also review INTERPOL’s new strategic framework, receive updates on the
Silver Notice pilot project, and vote on new members of the Executive
Committee, including the organization’s President, as current mandates
conclude.
