Minister
Delegate to the Prime Minister in charge of Digital Transition and
Administrative Reform, Amal Al-Falah Al-Saghroushni has stressed the importance
of strengthening Morocco’s technological sovereignty to ensure the continuity
of the country’s development model and enhance its digital presence amid rapid
advances in artificial intelligence.

Speaking
on the theme "Technological Sovereignty in the Age of Artificial
Intelligence: Potential and Challenges for the African Continent," the
Minister outlined Morocco’s national vision for digital transformation, aligned
with the High Directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. Central to this
vision is the implementation of the Digital Morocco Strategy 2030, which
prioritizes the development of a national cloud infrastructure, the
reinforcement of cybersecurity systems, and the expansion of digital public
services grounded in trust and transparency.

The
Minister highlighted artificial intelligence as a strategic area for Morocco,
given its critical role in data analysis and decision-making. She called for
the adoption of a clear legal framework, effective data governance, and
enhanced training for youth in digital disciplines.
Mrs.
Al-Saghroushni also noted the need to strengthen coordination among
stakeholders to accelerate the implementation of digital transformation, AI,
and data projects, positioning Morocco as a leading digital hub in both Africa
and the Mediterranean region.
