Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, Amal Al-Falah Al-Saghroushni has stressed the importance of strengthening Morocco’s technological sovereignty to ensure the continuity of the country’s development model and enhance its digital presence amid rapid advances in artificial intelligence.

Speaking on the theme "Technological Sovereignty in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Potential and Challenges for the African Continent," the Minister outlined Morocco’s national vision for digital transformation, aligned with the High Directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. Central to this vision is the implementation of the Digital Morocco Strategy 2030, which prioritizes the development of a national cloud infrastructure, the reinforcement of cybersecurity systems, and the expansion of digital public services grounded in trust and transparency.

The Minister highlighted artificial intelligence as a strategic area for Morocco, given its critical role in data analysis and decision-making. She called for the adoption of a clear legal framework, effective data governance, and enhanced training for youth in digital disciplines.

Mrs. Al-Saghroushni also noted the need to strengthen coordination among stakeholders to accelerate the implementation of digital transformation, AI, and data projects, positioning Morocco as a leading digital hub in both Africa and the Mediterranean region.
