Senegal’s
Minister of Communication, Telecommunications and Digital Affairs, Alioune Sall
has met with the President of Azerbaijan’s Innovation and Digital Development
Agency (IAAD), Farid Osmanov, to discuss potential collaboration on digital
transformation initiatives.

The
meeting held on the sidelines of the World Telecommunication Development
Conference (WTDC-25), afforded IAAD to showcased key achievements, including
the MyGov super-application with two million users, a comprehensive digital
strategy encompassing AI, cybersecurity, and digital identity, and the Digital
Bridge platform linking government services with businesses such as banks.
Minister
Sall shared Senegal’s vision under the New Deal for Technology, highlighting
priorities such as the digitalization of public administration, development of
digital services, deployment of connectivity infrastructure, growth of the
digital economy, and promotion of inclusion and training programs.

Both
parties expressed readiness to cooperate through experience sharing and
structured partnerships in areas including administrative digitalization, AI,
and cybersecurity. Discussions concluded with an agreement to move towards a
formalized framework for ongoing collaboration.
