Ghana’s
delegation is advancing its digital agenda at the World Telecommunication
Development Conference (WTDC) 2025, engaging with the Dominican Republic to
strengthen bilateral cooperation in the ICT sector. The meeting is part of
Ghana’s broader efforts to accelerate its digital transformation and enhance
the national telecommunications ecosystem.

During
discussions, the Dominican delegation highlighted their focus on
telecommunication development and noted their upcoming centenary at the
International Telecommunication Union (ITU), as well as their recent election
to the ITU Council.
Ghana’s delegation used the meeting to share
updates on its bid for election to the ITU Council and re-election to the
Radiocommunication Bureau (RRB), emphasizing the country’s commitment to
advancing digital connectivity and international collaboration.
