M-PESA
Africa hosted a high-level delegation from the Vodacom Group finance team
during a country visit to Kenya, led by Group Chief Financial Officer Raisibe
Morathi and joined by former M-PESA Africa CFO Haytham Ammar, Samantha
Padayachee, Neeraj Singh, and Ahmed Hassan. The team was received by M-PESA
Africa CFO Amr Atef, who also convened an open staff town hall.

During
the visit, Morathi commended M-PESA Africa’s strong double-digit growth and
highlighted the organisation’s potential to maximise scale across its markets.
She noted that the company is well positioned to expand financial services and
accelerate innovation throughout the region.
The
delegation also acknowledged M-PESA Africa’s successful rollout of the
next-generation, cloud-based M-PESA Fintech 2.0 platform in Lesotho and Kenya,
delivered in partnership with Vodacom Lesotho and Safaricom. Morathi expressed
optimism about further deployments of the platform across other M-PESA markets.

The
visiting leaders emphasised that M-PESA Africa has significant headroom for
faster growth, driven by continued innovation and the capabilities of its
workforce.
