Uganda has been honored by the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) with the Award
for Top Revenue Contribution, after remitting UGX 2.47 trillion in tax revenue
over the past three financial years.
The
recognition, announced today, acknowledges MTN Uganda as one of the country’s
most consistent and significant contributors to national development.

According
to the company, the award reflects its long-standing commitment to supporting
Uganda’s economic growth and its alignment with the nation’s 10x growth agenda
and ambitions of attaining upper-middle-income status.

Uganda expressed appreciation to URA, the Ministry of Finance, Planning and
Economic Development, and other stakeholders for the acknowledgment. The
company reaffirmed its commitment to continued investment and partnership
toward driving socio-economic transformation in Uganda.
