CRDB
Bank has entered a strategic partnership with Visa in a move aimed at
transforming digital payments, expanding international remittance capabilities
and accelerating financial inclusion across Tanzania, the Democratic Republic
of Congo and Burundi.

The
agreement was signed at Visa’s regional office in Dubai, where CRDB Bank’s
delegation was led by Chief Financial Officer Fredrick Shekanabo, representing
the Group CEO, alongside Jackson Kehenga. They were received by Visa’s senior
regional executives headed by Michael Barner, Senior Vice President for the
Southern and Eastern Africa region.
According
to CRDB Bank, the partnership will introduce enhanced international payment and
remittance solutions, strengthen access to advanced and secure digital payment
technologies, and support faster digital transformation across its operating
markets.

Both
institutions described the collaboration as a significant milestone aligned
with CRDB Bank’s vision to deliver world-class financial services and expand
economic opportunities for individuals and businesses in the region.
