Somalia
has taken a significant step toward strengthening its digital governance
architecture with a consultation meeting on the Draft National Digital
Coordination Framework (NDCF), convened by the Office of the Prime Minister –
Digital Transformation and E-Government Services under the Department of Public
Service and Good Governance.

The
session, supported by the Transformational Governance Project, brought together
government institutions and key stakeholders to review the proposed structures,
standards, and governance mechanisms aimed at improving national digital
coordination.
Abdulahi
Mahmud Eibakar, Executive Coordinator in the Office of the Director General at
the National Communications Authority, participated in the consultation and
highlighted the importance of aligning institutional efforts to advance the
country’s digital transformation agenda.

The
meeting facilitated broad engagement on building a coherent and secure digital
ecosystem, with participants reaffirming their commitment to strengthening
governance and accelerating national digital progress.
The
draft framework will now move toward validation and subsequent implementation
as Somalia works to establish a unified and sustainable approach to digital
development.
