The Ghana Digital Acceleration Project (GDAP) has hosted a high-level World Bank delegation aimed at advancing the country’s digital transformation agenda. The delegation was led by Michel Rogy, Regional Practice Director for Digital Development; Jana Kunicová, Program Manager for Digital Transformation; and Steve Davenport, Senior Digital Governance Specialist, representing Sector Minister Samuel Nartey George.

On the first day of the mission, the team engaged with the GDAP Project Coordination Unit and conducted a technical visit to the Cyber Security Authority’s National CERT facility.

Discussions focused on enhancing Ghana’s competitiveness in artificial intelligence, expanding digital job opportunities, improving public-sector digitalisation, and strengthening cybersecurity resilience.

The World Bank delegation commended the Ministry of Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations and the GDAP team for the progress made and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Ghana’s digital transformation initiatives.
