Morocco
and the Philippines have agreed to deepen their collaboration in digital
governance following a high-level meeting in Rabat. The Minister Delegate to
the Prime Minister in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform,
Amal Al-Falah Al-Saghroushni, received David Almirol, Secretary of State for
e-Administration at the Philippine Ministry of Information and Communication
Technology, who led an official delegation to Morocco.

The
visit, organised in coordination with Morocco’s National Committee for the
Monitoring of the Protection of Personal Data, forms part of the growing
cooperation between the two countries in digital transformation and
e-government development.
During
the discussions, Al-Falah Al-Saghroushni outlined the pillars of Morocco’s
“Digital Morocco 2030” strategy, highlighting national progress in artificial
intelligence and the development of the Institute of Island Excellence network.
She underscored the centrality of data-driven innovation in building public
services that deliver concrete value to citizens.
Mr.
Almirol presented the Philippines’ pragmatic model for digital administration,
focused on rapid implementation, resource consolidation, and bringing public
services closer to users to enhance efficiency.

Both
sides agreed to reinforce bilateral cooperation and expand the exchange of
expertise. They reaffirmed a shared commitment to advancing digital
sovereignty, strengthening the performance and accessibility of public
services, and ensuring that digital transformation efforts remain centred on
citizen needs.
