Morocco and the Philippines have agreed to deepen their collaboration in digital governance following a high-level meeting in Rabat. The Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, Amal Al-Falah Al-Saghroushni, received David Almirol, Secretary of State for e-Administration at the Philippine Ministry of Information and Communication Technology, who led an official delegation to Morocco.

The visit, organised in coordination with Morocco’s National Committee for the Monitoring of the Protection of Personal Data, forms part of the growing cooperation between the two countries in digital transformation and e-government development.

During the discussions, Al-Falah Al-Saghroushni outlined the pillars of Morocco’s “Digital Morocco 2030” strategy, highlighting national progress in artificial intelligence and the development of the Institute of Island Excellence network. She underscored the centrality of data-driven innovation in building public services that deliver concrete value to citizens.

Mr. Almirol presented the Philippines’ pragmatic model for digital administration, focused on rapid implementation, resource consolidation, and bringing public services closer to users to enhance efficiency.

Both sides agreed to reinforce bilateral cooperation and expand the exchange of expertise. They reaffirmed a shared commitment to advancing digital sovereignty, strengthening the performance and accessibility of public services, and ensuring that digital transformation efforts remain centred on citizen needs.
